Today, version 3.4.0 is released.

Improvements are:
- Peco 00-9/H0e library added (except for the turntable, we could not find its measurements, or even order the part)
- Roco 2.5 mm library added. The classic Roco track. The new curved turnouts are missing, but will be added a.s.a.p.
- Possibility to create a jpg, gif, bmp or png of the complete plan, instead of only the visible area.
- Possibility to shift lines and surfaces. This functionality will be further improved in a next version.
- Various small issues have been solved.

We proudly present the release of version 3.5.0 of AnyRail.

To update your version of AnyRail, simply download the new installer from the website, and install it.

There have been many minor updates on the track libraries for Märklin M and Z, Peco 00-9/H0e, Micro Trains, N Kato Unitrack and Walthers Code 83.

There have been great improvements in the handling of elements on the screen. Anything can now be copied and pasted. Arrow keys can be used to move a group of elements.

Drawing of surfaces has become a bit easier. Press the SHIFT key while dragging points and sides of figures to see what you can do. Surfaces and text can now be rotated like anything else. Line widths can be changed.

We really hope that you enjoy the new functionality. Of course, while working with them, we discovered that a few more features in this area would be very welcome.  However, we did not want to let you wait much longer for this version.

As usual, you're all very welcome to come up with suggestions for future releases.

Version 3.5.1 is a minor bug fix release.
In this version, an issue with the Marklin M transfer table is solved, along with a few minor textual changes for Walthers Code 83 and Kato N Unitrack.

Version 3.5.2 is a minor bug fix release.
An annoying issue with free text handling should be resolved.

Today, version 3.7.0 of AnyRail is released.

It has two visible improvements:

- Support for extendable track that can be found in the Fleischmann Profi, Tillig TT Modell and Märklin Z track libraries.

- Functionality to bring surfaces and lines to the front or send them to the back, relative to each other.

Also, we've done a few internal stability improvements.

Version 3.7.2 solves an annoying bug that Windows Vista users may have run into when using the 'Export as...' function.
With this function jpg, bmp, png and gif pictures can be created.

When using this function for the second time, a message box appeared with some error text.

Also solved in this version is setting line height. This function was disabled for lines while available for surfaces.
See this thread for more info:
http://www.anyrail.com/forum_en/problems/adjusting_line_heights-t117.0.html.

David.

N.B. Version 3.7.1 has been out for a few hours, but unfortunately shows a wrong version number in the About box. Hence the new version 3.7.2. For the rest 3.7.1 and 3.7.2 are completely identical.

Again, a new release, version 3.8.0!

The main improvement in this release is that the long awaited dragging of parts from the library onto the work area is added.
The old way of adding track is still supported: click once on a piece of track in the library to add it to the work area.

But a new, quicker way is to press the left mouse button when on the piece of track in the library, and drag the mouse onto the work area. The piece appears there, and you can immediately drag it into place. Only then, release the left mouse button. It's much like drag and drop.

Also, a turntable for Atlas N Code 80 is added.

Have fun!

Version 3.9.0 has been released today.

It has a few interesting new features:

- Flipping, or mirroring. If you've discovered your station has been designed the wrong way around, you can now easily flip it. Of course, other elements such as lines, surfaces, and text can be flipped as well.

- Easements. Much asked function for flex track. Press the right mouse button on a disconnected piece of flex to find the 'Adjust flex.../Easement flex' menu. Enter an angle and radius of the curve you want to create the easement for, and the flex will be bent for you.

- Small improvements in various libraries.

Again, an incremental release for AnyRail.

In this release the garden railway enthousiasts will hopefully find what they need. We've added four libraries for Aristo-Craft, Piko G, Hübner I, and Märklin I.

Testing with this large scales, we found that the size of part numbers, heights and such needed some work to make them look nice. This also helps a lot in the smallest scale Z.

On request, we improved the H0 RocoLine, Märklin K, Roco N and H0 Kato Unitrack libraries.

Hopefully there's something here for everyone!

An intermediate update, mainly to introduce the 'Check for updates' functionality.
Although being quite basic, we hope it will be useful to be able to check for updates from within AnyRail.

You can try it out by going to 'Help/Check for updates'.
Of course, it'll take a little while before it will tell you that there's something new!
(At least until version 3.11.1 or 3.12.0 Wink )
It's not automatic, as we feel that many people are not comfortable with applications that go on the internet by themselves. Maybe we'll add that as an option later on.

We've tested this functionality on a broad range of machines and Internet connections, but please let us know if it doesn't work for you.

Some performance improvements have been introduced, that will hopefully be noticable for large designs.

Finally, we've added the NB-55 Peco N turntable.

David.

This new version of AnyRail presents a few new things.

First, we've added a library for 0 gauge Lenz track. A missing turntable for Peco has been added as well.

The track library menu has been revised a little, and sorted per gauge. Then, another library menu has been added for non-track items, and items that do not really belong to a certain track system.

You'll find them in the 'Miscellaneous' menu. Currently, there's not much there yet, but you'll find some of Walthers Railroad Facilities there, such as the great turntables and roundhouses. Note that the roundhouses are slightly transparant to be able to see the track running in them!

Also, a first series of signals can be found there. For now, these are the DB (Deutsche Bahn) light signals as made by Viessmann. We'll add more on request.

Finally, the copy/paste actions have been added to the popup menus, making it a bit easier to use them.

Enjoy! And don't forget to post your comments on the forum.

In this latest release we two new libraries:
- Peco 0 Code 124
- Peco 0 Code 143

We also beautified the Märklin Z library, where the many extending metal plates are quite relevant when designing a layout, as they easily get in the way.

Finally, we added the 'TrainPlayer export'. With this function, you can export your AnyRail plan in a special format that's readable by TrainPlayer. This linkup already works quite well, but is still in the test phase. If you want more information regarding this, please contact us!

Please enjoy! If you have any comments on this release, don't hesitate to open a thread in this forum.

In this minor bugfix release, an issue with the Roco geoLine track library is solved.
Part names did not show up in the status bar, neither in the bill of materials for this track system.
