Well, it was a tough decision. But there were multiple reasons.

For one, the name of the product, "DRail", was already getting quite well known. However, we often got the question why the domain name extension was .net, instead of .com. The fact is, that the owner of the .com domain asked a ridiculous amount of money for it. We reckoned there was no way to ever get that domain name.

Secondly, with incorrect capitalization, the word "drail" could have a negative connotation for some English speakers. For many, it was not clear how to pronounce the name anyway.

Thirdly, we are playing with some plans for a second product. No, we won't reveal anything about it Wink, except that it won't be ready within a year.

So, the structure will become a bit different:

www.drailsoftware.com will eventually become the umbrella company site. Now, it simply points to anyrail.com.
www.anyrail.com is the domain for our track planning software. Dutch and French versions will follow.
www.HuhHuh.com, a placeholder for a possible second product.

Does the name change to  "AnyRail"  imply lots more track libraries?

Yes, well, at least we aim to add as many track systems as possible. However, sometimes it turns out to be extremely difficult to get the geometric data!

I think [AnyRail] is definitely better for the name of the company.  [Drail] almost sound like 'derail'!

Well done, AnyRail!
