We're very curious what you use AnyRail for. We've seen many AnyRail designs for great layouts, some just for fun, and some to actually build.

We've also heard of people using AnyRail as an educational tool.

Please let us know what you are using it for!

I've checked "explore possible additions to my current layout" but other options are also valid. I can't check more than one option.

Mmh, the forum software does not allow that so it seems.

So, I changed the question just slightly instead Wink

Hi David,
I could have answered with "other" but opted for "future layout".
I use it to plan the loft area in our garage as well as the layout.

Hi David,
I definately bought it to plan a future layout.  It is still the best I have seen for this.

Hello

well lets see,
I plan my future layout (See my thread in layout planning)
I explore possible additions to my current 8x4 layout
I have drawn the plan of my existing layout as it was a little different to the first drawing
Then I also like to create track plans for fun, so see where they take me
And do Other things like copy layouts from books for different sized rooms and explore possible options of other peoples layouts.

So errr all of the above.  Grin Grin

I'm busily planning layouts!!!

Not just one? Of course not! I have yet to negotiate a firm amount of space with my wife. I figure that if I can present her with plans for everything from a 2 x 4 foot shelf layout to an 11 x 6 foot 'big one with all the toppings', I can get her to approve at least one Smiley

In the meantime, I'm honing my design skills. I've got 2 really great ones in the works right now- one for a shelf layout that would take up space around the walls of the room and the other for a more traditional room-filling type. Thanks to your software, I'm feeling better about both the chance of getting a layout under construction AND being able to design one worth building.

As soon as I have one of them fully complete (with buildings, etc.) I'll post it to the forum.
