Hi David.

Something funny has happened to the turntable icons. On the select buttons, one can barely see the outline and, on the layout, the existing turntable's outline had disappeared completely. The immediate problem was resolved by deleting the existing turntable and then dragging one down into its posiiton and reconnecting all the tracks. Strange.

All the best,
Chris.

All the objects on AnyRail are defined using lines, circles, etc.
When time comes to actually draw the object, such as on a button or on the workspace, AnyRail decides how to scale everything to create a nice picture.

We sometimes change the drawing algorithm a little because we think things look better or are more easily recognized. More often then not, this algorithm produces results that look OK in scale G but look horrible in Z, and vice versa, so these changes often need some extra fine tuning. Also, because someone modelling in Z probably scales the screen view to 1:2, and someone modeling in G scales the view to 1:15, things would not look well without this fine tuning. Examples are font sizes, line width, etc.

So from version to version, the appearance of the same plan might vary slightly.

This might a case where this algorithm does not make the right choices. We'll take a closer look!

David.

Hi David. Thanks for responding.

So from version to version, the appearance of the same plan might vary slightly.

I can understand that. It was just that the outline had completely disappeared on the layout leaving just the actual track section showing. Deleting the original turntable and dragging a new one out resolved the problem, so all is OK now.

All the best,
Chris.
