If you use sectional track, you’ll often find that it’s difficult to make a perfect fit when your design becomes more complex.

Some manufacturers supply all sorts of filler track just for this purpose.

Sometimes you can make the track fit by using the play (wiggle room) in the track. While this can be considered cheating, sometimes you don’t even notice that you’re doing just that when laying real track.

In AnyRail, you can cheat a little bit as well.

You can usually achieve this by creating a one- or two-degree bend at a connection.

To close a gap #

1. Select a connection and press Manipulate Connection….

The Compass direction determines which side will rotate and/or slide.

2. Use the sliders to adjust the connection so that the connected track rotates and the other end fits better.

NOTE: Only resort to this technique after you’ve tried to make your track plan fit properly.

To fix a connection #

1. Select a connection and press Reconnect….

The Compass direction determines which side will be reconnected.

2. Select a compass direction and press OK.

NOTE: This function is only available if there is at least one free end.
