I got in some coincidental rail fanning today. I saw a few things of interest as I zipped by at 70 mph -
A busy rail yard and locomotive service house.
A vintage SD 9 high-nose in good shape.
A couple of pieces of 1 : 1 scale sectional track- a turnout that looked about a #8 frog and a piece of straight track 5 feet long.
A 6 car Amtrak train headed, eventually, for Washington D.C.
A 200 ton coaling tower in poor condition.
Not too bad a day as days go. At least it didn't rain on me, though it was close.
