Title: Text size
Post by: RhB_HJ on January 10, 2014, 07:44:54 PM
It used to be that the height of the text was in the same units as the basic measurements i.e. if it's mm then each unit of text heights was 1mm, but that's no longer the case with the latest update. What happened?

I always thought text was measured in "points", as per the Wikipedia quote below:

The desktop publishing point (DTP point) is defined as 1⁄72 of the Anglo-Saxon compromise inch of 1959 (25.4 mm) which makes it 0.0138 inch or 0.3527 mm. Twelve points make up a pica, and six picas make an inch.

From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Point_(typography) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Point_(typography))

I'm also sure that this has always been the case in AR, otherwise some of my 150-point labels would be HUGE!

The font size is in points if you would set the scale to 1:1 and print it.

We changed that a few years ago. It might be that if you open very old plans the conversion is slightly off.

David.
