Title: Work area dimensions
Post by: Laco on January 22, 2009, 08:48:03 AM
Hello,

It seems that the work are is now limited to 500x500 cm. For "big trains" (G) this is not enough. Is there any reason for this, or is it only a bug?

Hi Laco,

If you go to the 'Tools/Options' menu, open the 'Work area' tab.

Here, you can indicate the size of your work area. The maximum size is one square kilometer (100000 x 100000 cm).

Note that this is not necessarily the size of your train table (or garden). You can draw the table or garden with the 'line/surface' drawing tool, that can be accessed by right clicking the work area.

Hope this helps!

David.

Hello David,

I definitely do not have that big garden  ;D.
Unfortunately the work area does not work. I can input there the desired numbers, but the program does not allow to acces (place the mouse and move the screen slides) behind the 500,500 coordinate. The program, however, does restrict the area when requested.

You are right. The screen is not correctly updated.

As a workaround, you can change the view scale (Menu 'View/Scale', or CTRL-Mousewheel) one tick up and down, and you'll get the correct area.

We'll fix it as soon as possible!
