Hi Everyone!
In this new version we have added the following:
- Lego Monorail.
- Binary 3D export formats stl and ply. Also, we've made sure that the Collada export can be opened in SketchUp again. The problem was with the material definitions.
- Hungarian language support, with many thanks to Károly!
- Specific show-checkboxes for tunnels and track control points (such as for flex track).
We've updated or fixed:
- Z Atlas, new turnouts and a crossing.
- H0 MicroEngineering Code 70 (track ladders).
- TT Kuehn, WL10/WR10.
- 3D View improved.
- 2D View improved, better performance.
- Crash in folded menu fixed.
Enjoy!
David.
6.17.1 Resolved an issue when saving files in some situations
6.17.2 Solves a performance issue scrolling through libraries
6.17.3 Solves a rendering issue
6.17.2 Solves a problem opening some version 5 plans
Thanks a bunch, David.
Much Appreciated.
Maybe this time a file bug sneaked in: When I was saving the any file with 6.17.0, I could not open it again. An error message popped up saying somehing of an unregistered class.
I just sent you a mail with the model for review.
Thanks
Sven
Thanks you Sven. Indeed, we've been struggling a lot with probably a compiler optimizer bug. I've just revoked version 6.17 until it's resolved.
There seems to be a serious problem when saving files using version 6.17 of AnyRail.
It is caused by a bug in the compiler's optimizer, possibly yielding the saved file corrupt.
Please don't use it until further notice!
The problems have been resolved by going back to the previous version of the compiler.
Version 6.17.1 is now available for download!
Noticed in 6.17.1 that scrolling through large track lists is painfully slow. Just me?
@drbnc: in a track library, or in the list of materials?
Do you have an example?
Scrolling through track libraries - Kato Unitrack N and Tomix Fine Track - used to be quick, now slow, like a buffer is full. Nothing changed on my end other than the AnyRail update.
I'll take a look at it. Thanks for reporting this.
David
I am having the same thing happen with Atlas and Peco Track
Maybe I wasn't wrong the FIRST time.

Update 6.17.2 should fix this :)
Yes! Back to normal... Thanks, David!
Version 6.1702: I switched from 1701, which I used yesterday, to 1702 today. On opening yesterday's file I discovered large areas of a purple overlay on top of everything.
It was not fixed. If I clicked on something it expanded or contracted. If I clicked on a layer that whole layer became purple tinted. Really odd. I stopped to write this.

Edited: Added .any file.
Your plan opened perfectly here. Using 6.17.2. Beautiful plan, by the way!
Interesting. Oh, well. I can't get rid of the purple on MY copy in 1702. Any suggestions.

Maybe a graphics card driver issue?
So, are we safe to use 6.17.2 or wait a few more days?
You are safe. It's a rendering issue that is solved in version 6.17.3.
So fast. You must be working frantically.
The purple mess went away. Thank you.
Bill
Thanks!
