Using lines, text and rulers, I have noticed some strange things.
You can reproduce the problem (tested with version 3.24.2 NL)
- open a new sheet
- create two rulers
- point your mouse to the first ruler, right-click, select rotate
- rotate the ruler for some degrees (not important how much)
- click OK
- point your mouse to the second ruler, right-click, select rotate
- rotate the ruler and notice that the first ruler is rotating
- click CANCEL
- the rotation of ruler one is NOT cancelled
You can do the same test with TEXT and you will notice the same issue.
You can do the same test with a LINE and you will notice the same issue.
Also you can check situations with a mix of TEXT, LINE and RULER.
As far as I can see, the problem is that when you hoover the mouse over an object, the color changes indicating the object is selected. But in fact the previous object is still selected - but only for the rotate-function.

Hi Sander,
I'm sorry, I cannot reproduce the problem following your exact instructions.
When you rotate, do you fill in a value for the angle with the keyboard, or use the slider?
Are the rulers very close together?
As you say, it's only with 'Rotate'. Do you mean it works fine with 'Flip'?
Thanks,
David.
Hi David.
Sander is right. It happens on mine as well. However, to address your question, it only happened for me when I used the slider.
Best wishes,
Chris.
We've been able to reproduce it on our Windows XP test machine.
It does not seem to happen on Windows Vista.
We'll investigate this further.
David.
Yes, I'm on XP.
David,
My test was indeed on Windows XP and I did use the slider. I am glad you could reproduce the problem.
Good Luck and don't hurry, since this is for me a minor issue.
Sander
We've found the cause of the problem.
It happens each time when rotation one thing is immediately followed by rotating something else.
It only seems to happens on XP when using the slider.
I hope it's OK if we bundle this bug fix with the 'Flattened image' issue discussed elsewhere on the forum.
We're also going on a two week holiday to Australia, so software development will probably stall for a short time!
Thanks for your understanding.
David.
Thanks David for this. Now we know that it only happens when rotating twice after each other, it is easy to have a workaround.
Sure it's OK to bundle with other items for the next release. If it is any help for you, I am happy to take your seat for the holiday ....... :D
Sander
If you mean my seat on the airplane, well, I'd rather go myself! ;)

David.
This issue should be solved in version 3.25.0 of the software.
David.
I have tested and the issue is solved. Thanks David.
