Title: Segmentdrehscheibe
Post by: vesto1988 on December 19, 2019, 04:03:57 AM
Hi,
I found the segment turntable at Faller. You can also have this maintained with AnyRail. I have now found them in 1: 160 scale.
I have included the corresponding link.

Hi there,
I would like to know whether this is included in the AnyRail database?

As there is no Faller track library (Faller doesn't provide track), this would have to be a Structure item; if it isn't in the User Objects Faller library, then no user has created this structure (yet).

I have also expressed this wish in the past.  My workaround has been to create User Objects of track sections.  These can then be grouped with round houses, lift bridges, train car ferries, etc.  This works well for making your track plan spacing and object location much easier in the early design phase.  Don't forget to ungroup the image later and delete these track images, replacing them with segments from your track library.  This will make your list of track usage correct in the last phase of layout design.

My choice is to put a red line in my structures so that this becomes the track centerline when adding track.  Using the Show->Centerline option allows me to get the track positioned correctly.
