Title: Problems with Mintrix libary
Post by: Eremi on March 18, 2021, 10:44:52 AM
Hello Team Any Rail,

I work with the Mintrix track libary (N gauge). It struck me that the tracks 14981,14983, as well as the smaller circle diameters 66/67, do not have the right angle geometry.
Even with the help of the configuration data from the manufacturer, I was unable to design a prallel track outlet.

Maybe you want to check the data of the affected traks!

Thank you for your efforts today.

Greetings from Odenwald/Germany

EREMI

Hi Eremi,

The geometry in AnyRail is correct, it only doesn't fit exactly. IT will fit in real live due to the 'play' (Spielraum) in the track.
Here's more information:

Hello David,

thanks for the example files.

I have placed the same Parts from my Libary, on place this top of each other!
You can see the geometry is not the same.

Something is still fundamentally wrong.

example n_minitrix-startset use the ArticleNo. .any

Hi Eremi,

It is mathematically impossible to have a curved turnout that would fit in the situations that Minitrix proposes.

So what they did is designing it in such a way that it fits, but you need to create an 'imperfect connection', so at a slight angle. If you would zoom in, you'd see a kink in the connection.

In real life, you wouldn't notice this, but in an accurate program such as AnyRail, you do.

To solve these kinds of problems, you can create 'imperfect connections' in AnyRail.

Here's a video that show how to do that:
