Title: NEW VERSION 6.45
Post by: Dmsearl on June 18, 2022, 11:44:13 PM
HELLO, WHEN I UPGRADED TO YOUR NEW 6.45 VERSION ON 2 DIFFERENT COMPUTERS IT WILL NOT ALLOW ME "PERMISSIONS ACCESS". I WENT IN AND SET ALL THE PERMISIONS TO ALLOW MANUALLY - BUT TO NO AVAIL. WOULD NOT LOAD/INSTALL. I HAD TO RELOAD MY OLDER VERSION 6.43 WHICH OPERATED AND SAID I WAS REGISTERED. I DO HAVE A VALID LICENSE FOR 3 COPIES, MY PASSWORD OPERATES, AND REGISTRATION CODE IS VALID.

REALLY LOVE THIS SOFTWARE - HAVE CONVINCED MANY FRIENDS TO SIGN UP OVER THE PAST FEW YEARS.

WHAT MIGHT I BE DOING WRONG?

THANKS DENNIS SEARLES.

Dennis,

For what it's worth, I had no issues installing 6.45.0 on my system.  Perhaps you can let people know what version of Windows you are using. Ideally, please include a screen capture of the error with your reply so we can see the context for the error.  For example, was the message shown on installation or when trying to run the program?  Did you run the installer by upgrading from within the program when AnyRail prompted you that an update was available, or by manually downloading the .msi file from the AnyRail website Download web page and then installing from the file?  Occasionally the second approach may work if the first does not.

I am not clear on what you did when you say that you "went in and set all the permissions to allow manually".  What did you change?  System permissions changes are not normally required.

Lastly, a couple of suggestions...  may I suggest that you edit your post above to remove your email address?  Spammers often extract email addresses from forum pages, so it's best not to publicise your address in that way.  Also, please try not to type all in capitals.  It does not help readability and is often regarded as "shouting" on the net.  I am sure that was not your intent.  Thanks.

Les.

It looks like a Windows message, so it has nothing to do with your AnyRail license.

Do you install the program in the default location (C:\Program Files (x86)\AnyRail)?

It could also be that your virus scanner got in the way. Which one are you using? We test with almost 60 virus scanners before releasing the software, but it might be that yours is blocking the program for some reason.

I am a new user, and just installed the latest revision. I can't access the User Object Library. I appear to be able to download it, but not use any objects.
Great software but this is very frustrating.

Do you have the USER OBJECTS tab and can you open it?
