Opening AnyRail file . . .

Yes, this has to seem like a very strange topic. :)
I have no idea if anyone here can help with this.  It is actually more of a computer question than AnyRail and I know there are a lot of computer savvy people out there.
When I double click on an *.any file here in the forum my computer (Windows7) won't associate the file to the AnyRail program. That's fine, all I have to do, of course, is browse for the program and open it in that manner.  However, the box to choose to associate the *.any file with AnyRail is greyed out.  Sure, this is a fairly minor inconvenience and doesn't take an excessive amount of time to open it manually but, I like things to work like they should!
The *.any file is already associated with AnyRail anywhere else on my computer.  The only time I have issues is here.

Any thoughts out there?

Please explain what 'anywhere else' and 'here' is ?

Are you perhaps talking about different folders ? Could it be that the folder is set to 'read-only' ? Or you don't have permissions to write in that folder ?

Sander,
This sounds like a problem with your browser. Which browser are you using?

Paul,

I don't have any problem with my browser. Charles has the problem.

You may have a point there.  I use Firefox mostly but it does seem to have a number of difficulties.  I'll check it with IE.
Thank you for the pointer!

On Edit:  That was the problem.  I'll have to see if I can get FireFox straightened out.  Thanks!

"Here" is on this forum.  "anywhere else" is anyplace on my drives :).  I think Paul may have hit on it.  It could be FireFox.  Going to check that  out now.
