Well gosh-darned if I wasn't able to get the newest version installed and configured ( mostly) without reading the entire manual. Maybe my memory ain't so bad after all. Now all I have left is installing the newest beta, whatever that is, so I can figure out what I don't know!

What do you mean? AR practically installs itself without fuss or muss! 

Nope. In this case I had the same issue as santerdam - the MSI file appeared to download OK, but when run it produced an error message of 'corrupt file error: disk1.cab'. Then I re-downloaded it and it ran fine.
