I got thinner. Comes from swapping 3 cups of greek yougurt for my former lunch. Working nicely so far.

I tried that and all that happened was I started understanding the road signs in Thessaloniki....

And this is bad? :^)

Commercial yogurt comes in 100-140 calorie tubs (the usual ones one would grab for lunch) and an under-400 calorie lunch isn't a bad thing. You get around 16-18 oz.'s of something that tastes good and is good for you.

Look at all the money you save on hiring a local guide :)

We were on a real diet while staying in Canmore.

Breakfast was
1. Day  3 eggs, 5 strips of bacon, hash browns, toast and all the coffee you could handle -- goes by "Rancher's Breakfast"
2. Day  3 eggs, ham, sausage, bacon, hash browns, toast  etc. etc -- goes by "Rustler's Breakfast"

Why would I mention that?  I didn't need lunch!  :P ;D ;D

PS it was reasonable, too.

Sounds good, but when I add in another 3 eggs, I seldom have room for the toast. Remember: Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! :)

Whatever works for you. If your doing something and it's working and your enjoying it stick with it and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

On that note; I recommend sleep and water, avoid sugar, flour, butter, cheese and mayo. Walking is an easy way to do a lot of good. Labels are not as complicated to read as people think. If something has 20 grams of fat per 1 oz. serving you might not want to eat that no matter how good it is.
Every time we say, "The prototypes never..." The prototypes do.

I agree.  Especially when the water contains high levels of caffeine or alcohol.  It's why I've sworn off gnawing on coffee beans in favor of drinking strong coffee and chewing on malt instead of drinking scotch....  8) ;) :)

(well, maybe not  ;)  so much....)

It's true, Mike. My doctor has ordered at least one cup of BLACK coffee per day and an ounce or more of DARK 80%+ chocolate to help with your liver. This is somewhat of a job for me, since I'd never (intentionally) consumed black coffee... Fortunately, good coffee is good coffee. And for your walking, if you ever get leg cramps at night, boost your potassium intake.

Anyway, if I don't die in the next year or two, I should be good for another 20. I'm still wondering if that was the good news or the bad news :) Maybe the bad news was the current cost of dark chocolate, high-cacao bars?

No, it's more like keeping the you already have! Frankly, I'm not enjoying the chocolate as much as I would like. When you have above about 75% cacao, it stops melting much at body temp. You end up kind of rubbing your tongue along it till it gets worn away, like a Tootsie Roll.

What on earth is a Tootsie Roll?

Tootsie Roll

BTW Lindt makes a dark chocolate infused with red chili, part of the Lindt Excellence line.  ;)  ;) that should get you there!

Now to improve on the black coffee routine I recommend to cut the boredom you add a bit of whipped cream to the coffee, but restrict that to twice a week at the most.  I'm having one of those right now. Dark Italian roast plus a bit of whipped cream.  ;D ;D ;D

From what I can see, a Tootsie Roll is similar to what we English-born would call a "toffee" (as opposed to the Australian toffee which is generally made at home to amuse the kids, looks like what you use to make toffee apples, and breaks teeth)

Nick,
Tootsie Rolls are much softer and chewy than toffee
