Merry Christmas, Everyone!

We're about to head off on a two-hour drive for a bit of a family get-together (my wife's side) - lunch and dinner, so we don't expect to be home until around midnight (darn, no time for AR!).

We hope everyone has a safe, happy and fulfilling Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone!
If you've been good you get rewarded.
or you get a lump of coal. Chop it to your scale size and be happy.
Perfect reason to plan a coal mine or a coal dealer for your layout.  ;D  ;)

Here in Denmark, Christmas eve is 'the big day' so today is post present relaxation= railway modelling. hills to form, buildings to construct and maybe even a little bit of playing trains. Happy Christmas to you all.

Season's Greetings, everyone.
Christmas and New Year are generally a time for nostalgia and reflection, so this should help...

Like I keep saying, if anyone wants coal, I'd be happy to send them a few hundred pounds, compliments of my back driveway :) . If my wife and I stay here much longer, we're going to have to rent a bulldozer and do something with all that coal. If we don't, we're going to have a hard time plowing snow on that part.

In second place is my own idea of buying a coal-burning stove (or a standard gauge steam engine? Hmmm.....).

You mean Santa unloads all the coal he has left over at your place, year after year?  :-X :-X  Because you really deserve it or is it just convenient?  ;D  ;D  ;D  :P

Are you implying that Santa has upgraded to a steam powered sleigh, or does he just feed the coal to the reindeer?

Supposedly he leaves lumps of coal for those kids who have been "sub-par", if Jeff ends up with loads what would that tell you??

Santa has to get his coal somewhere... :)

The regional coal layer around here at that depth was never strip-mined, as the upper layer was before the government stopped them. It resulted in scenery that probably looks nothing like it did a couple hundred years ago. It's all been 'replaced'.
