All,
I have uploaded two new templates for the Tortoise 600-8000 slow motion motors. Bot are intended to be used at a bench work level to check clearances of the motors. One is the standard vertical mounting. The other is for a horizontal mounting.
Feed back welcome.
Thanks

What library?  User Object search isn't finding anything.

I think I put it into the Misc Scale of Electrical Components.

Still don't see it, and the number of user objects for download remains at 2005, the same as last week.  When did you upload it to the AR site?  The only item I see in the "Misc" library is a Tortoise image that has been there for over a year.

The way I did it was to use the interface inside of AnyRail. And upload them from there. I poped up a message that said I was giving up all rights etc.
They still show up in the file where I have used them, but I am obviously doing something wrong.
So....
How should I be uploading them?
Thanks.

In the file that you use them is there a blue border around the object?  If so, then that is an object you created for your use.  If you follow the guide for uploading then at the very bottom of the screen in small print is this: NOTE: Other people won't see your objects right away - we have to approve them first.

Give it some time.

So once they get approved - don't know the lag time - problem resolved ...

My initial expectation was to find them in a Circuitron entry in the "Misc" (no scale) library, except there isn't a Circuitron entry in that library; doesn't mean one can't create one, so maybe try a new upload and use Circuitron for the Manufacturer name (won't be in the current drop down list, so you'd have to specify it).  Might help users find them in the future.

I'm curious how these items look; one of the concerns in using these motors is placing them so they are centered properly under the turnout throwbar.  Knowing where that throwbar is positioned from the end of the turnout is (currently) up to the user.  My Peco N-scale turnouts have it about 1 inch from the end, so when using a Peco turnout in an AR layout, I usually create a single "line" 1 inch long, and position one end at the same location and angle as the end of the turnout, so that the other end inside the turnout is "close" to where the throwbar center (midpoint) would be.  That then lets me know where the Tortoise would roughly be with respect to the underlying frame so I can verify in my mind that I have sufficient "clearance".  If I don't then a remote mount or other such mechanism would be needed.  However, anything I physically create now would be as independent modules, not an actual layout, so I'm evaluating other smaller motors and moving away from the Tortoise/Smail ones.  Will have the same positioning consideration, just not the same clearance impact.

I am actually using them on N-Scale Atlas turnouts and the location of the hole is offset about 1/8" away from the side. I have included two screen shots of how they look, vertical and horizontal.
I will try adding in the Mfg name and re-posting.

I believe you can type in Circuitron as the manufacturer when saving as an object and it should show up once approved.  Of course, David may correct me.

Indeed, we're a bit behind on approving the items.
Please be patient, I hope we find some time for this next week.

David,
No worries.
Is it possible for you to add the Manufacturer if they are approved?
Thanks
