I'm done planning and will start construction in December.

Finally decided on 2 level with 2 helix and staging at 1 end.

Anyone know any tricks for exporting 2 level plans to Trainplayer?

My suggestion would be to send a copy of your jpgs to Bruno (support@trainplayer.com) and ask his opinion. Bruno has always been a great source of info, suggestions and support for me over the past couple of years.
Like your plan. Any chance you will post an AnyRail version of it to this site?

Exporting multi-level to TrainPlayer becomes somewhat of a messy confusion on the TrainPlayer side; AnyRail exports all layers, regardless of whether hidden or not.  The exported background image only includes the visible layers, though.  The result is that TrainPlayer shows 'tracks' that aren't in the images.

However, thankfully TrainPlayer supports linking multiple layouts 'together'; you pick the TrainPlayer 'junction' (AnyRail 'connection') on each layout where a train leaves one layout and enters the other, and vice versa.

So, save your layout as 2 'new' layouts for exporting to TrainPlayer, as you show with the 2 images.  The "lower" level has only that trackage (delete the upper level layers), and the same for the "upper" level.  Then link the 2 layouts in TrainPlayer at the point where the tracks connect in AnyRail.  Your 2 'temp' lower and upper layouts exists ONLY for the export to TrainPlayer, so delete them when the export is done.  But you have to re-do this every time you want an export.

Because TrainPlayer doesn't understand multi-layer tracks (and heights) trying to handle multi-level layouts as one export can cause Trainplayer to see tracks laying right on top of each other, and if done 'just right' (meaning bad luck) and TrainPlayer sees 2 connections at the exact same x,y coordinate, it can get confused and impact operations at that layout position.

Hope this helps.

@Nathan, thanks I'll try this. The export process you describe is pretty much what I thought with respect to images, etc.  However, I didn't know about linking layouts.
