Hi, long time no post!

Ive a newer laptop than my old one with the Anyrail license on it. Is there any way to transfer this to my newer computer or do I have to buy a new license?

Thanks!

David

No, your license is strictly personal, meaning that you may apply it on multiple computers, as long as you are the user yourself.

So no problem at all, simply use the same license on the new computer.

If you sell the old computer, remove the license from it, or our license system may detect strange usage patterns that may lead to warnings and eventually blocking. Of course we're always here to help in case of problems.

Good to know that I can use my original license from old computer on a new one, just one question. Where do I find the original license?

You can find it if you start AnyRail, open the FILE tab and select 'Help'.
Now, click the 'Register' button in the right hand pane.
Click the 'Change license' button to see your registered name and key.

Alternatively, go to our website, click 'Help' and then 'License retrieval'.

Thank you and sorry for the late acknowledgement!

EDIT just checked my profile and the email address is no longer valid. It's probably the same as I used for Anyrail. Is this is changed, will the Help, Retrieve licence function work?

David

No, in that case please let us know your new email address via support@anyrail.com

Hello.

As per my previous enquiry. Now usingmy newer laptop, Im having difficulty getting the same version of Anyrail on this device.

My licence key is for versions 3 and 4 so I downloaded v4.26.0EN from the download page. After installing my licence key however this did not have all the features of the v4 on my other laptop. For example I couldnt see all the track libraries such as Hornby(not present at all) and no Peco 100 etc.

I therefore uninstalled this and downloaded 3.36.0EN. Re entered my licence key. I now have all the track libraries but cannot now 'upgrade' to any version 4. If I use the Help > Check for Updates, I get a message "Sorry no info (error 5:12150)

Can you investigate, please?

David

In version 4, the Hornby and the Peco track libraries are definitely there!
Open the 'Track libraries' tab, go to H0/00/P4 and select Hornby or Peco.

If the 'H0/00/P4' group is not there, it might be switched off. To enable it, open the File tab, click the Options button and tick 'H0/00/P4' in the 'Shown Libraries' section.
Please note that this is all for version 4!!
