Hello, Can anyone answer this query please?

I've got a few layouts created and saved. But, I didnt set my layout to show where inclines start, how steep and where the downward slopes are. Can I add these details to the layout or do I have to start making the layout from the beginning again and enter the inclines and heights as I go?

If I can, can someone tell me how I can set this information up on an existing layout, please?

Thanks.

Jeff

Hi, welcome to the forums.

Try clicking the Home tab, then checking the boxes named 'Slope percentages', 'Height on slopes', and 'Height on plains'. That should do what you need.

That should switch on the slope details etc but I wasnt that clear in my question (my bad!). I didnt build any slopes into the layout and had all the track at the same level. But I now want to change the layout from being all at the same level and flat to one which has sections including inclines and slopes.

How do I make what are currently flat sections of track into inclines and downward slopes retrospectively?

Thanks.

Welcome to the group!

Most layouts have flat sections of track, connected together with inclined sections of track.  I assume your layout is this way.

To set the elevation of a flat section, select all the track in the flat section and then Set Height.

To create an incline between two flat sections, select all the track in the incline and then Smooth Slope.

Best Regards,

To expand on that answer a little, you can right-click any piece of track and use the Set height command on it.
