American Flyer S Scale Curve Radius Issue

The AR description of the S American Flyer part numbers 702 and 703 says they are 20 inch radius curves.  When I measure them, they are only 19.35 inch radius curves.

The curved side of the turnouts are also 19.35 in radius curves.

Good that they are the same, but that's a pretty big difference.

20" is the outer radius of the track (the way American Flyer describes its track).
What you measured is the center radius.
