Resetting Angle Problem

If you've last set the End Point ribbon the "Move endpoint" on the Endpoint ribbon for a piece of flex track, there's no way to rotate track using the endpoint of a fixed piece of track.

Example (see attached any file):

Suppose you measured out two pieces of flex track to make a junction of dual mains and you discover they aren't quite the correct length, because the diverging leg  of the turnout isn't quite long enough. No problem... just reset the end points on the flex track....

So you:

1)  Check the X-axis endpoint C of the crossing (In example, it's 14.37")
2)  Select Endpoint A on one of the flex tracks, select "Move endpoint" and reset it's x-axis coordinate (to 14.37")
3)  Now to get ready to repeat process for the other piece of flextrack (B), you select the endpoint D, set the angle to 270 degrees and.....
Nothing happens.  Tab out and the angle is reset to 280, rather than watching the tracks rotate.....

Note, this problem doesn't happen when changing the X or Y coordinates on set track in Step 3 in the above situation - only the angle.

You are correct. This is a bug.

Today is tax day, I'll look into it as soon as possible.

David, David, David....

Clearly you never worked for IBM.  IBM never had bugs; instead, they had "undocumented features".....

David

Well, if you want I can call it an undocumented feature and leave it at that... If you prefer?  :o

I'm sorry, we're not IBM. The issue will be fixed in the next update.  :)

David,

Trust me, I never, for even a nanosec, thought you were.  In terms of fixing things quickly, you, sir, are very definitely the un-IBM.

As for fixing it, put it down in the "to do - someday" list.  Unlike missing pieces, there are more than enough workarounds, once the problem is known.  Truth be told, I'd much rather have a Fast Tracks single slip and crossing (all built off the same jig) than have this one fixed....
