Moving a glued control point

This may or may not be a problem, but I thought it worth mentioning.

I needed to move one control point of a surface that I had drawn, so I selected the point, and entered the new values in the ribbon, thus moving the point.  I then decided to smooth out the shape by dragging another control point, which wouldn't move, because the surface was glued, which I had forgotten.  Further investigation revealed the following:

Selecting a point on the same glued surface, setting "Move surface" and changing the values in the ribbon moves the surface, but it won't move when dragged.

Selecting a glued track end/connection point and changing the values in the ribbon also moves it (either moving connection or moving track), but it won't move when dragged.

Surely a glued surface/track should not be able to be moved at all?
