It is unfortunate that I happen to have some time to spare to do my plans, which has resulted in a few? posts. Sorry about this.
I have noticed that when selecting multiple items with a marquee that at least with Flex Track, the marquee must also enclose the adjusters, which may well be pulled out some distance or even off the edge. This could result in selecting items not desired, between the adjusters and the last item desired.
Naturally being a newbie to this, I cannot be sure that I am not doing something wrong. If I am please will you put me right.

You are correct. The flex should be enclosed with its control points (adjusters).

However, you can unselect the items that you don't want by clicking them while holding down CTRL (just like in many Windows programs).
