Hi

In the AnyRail track library for Atlas N code 80, the length for a single straight length (2501 & 2513) is listed as 4 7/8" (4.88")

The Atlas track catalog list shows the length for these sections is 5".  The difference of 1/8" becomes significant when you start connecting straight sections together.  Which is correct or is the real number somewhere in between?  I understand there needs to be some give and take for insulating joints etc. but 1/8" seems like too much.

greetings Wilro, welcome to AR and the AR Forum

as i understand it, AR is the exact measurement which does differ in reality than what some of the manufcaturers advertise or list it.

David and the people who have developed this software have used precise actual dimensions.

you can be sure, what ever the length or angle in turnouts is in AR will be what the actual piece of track is.

respectfully,
