Adding points to line

I have laid out a sequence of lines around the layout and much later attempted to add a point.
What I wanted to do was to add the point in the line and then move the points after that one and have the line bend at the new point; to save moving the next point which is some way away or adding a point at the next one and sliding it back. I don't know if I am being clear.

Is there any reason why this could not be wished for? Add points anywhere along the line.

If I understand you correctly, you'd like to right click the line, and select 'Add point here'.

Good idea. Probably not too difficult to implement.

In the latest release, you can add points anywhere on an existing line.

Use the pop up menu under the right mouse button, or simple press 'P' with the mouse on the particular spot where you want the new point to appear.
