Trace Problem?

I am using version 5.11.3 and have a problem with track trace:
The trace is not shown if the track goes over a surface.
Was there a change in the behavior? Do I miss something?

PS: There seems to be a second problem:
Here the trace does cover the parallel track and its text.

Hi Hansruedi,

The first example is intended. The trace function is there to help you decide on the sizes of the surfaces.
If you don't want that, tick the 'background' checkbox for the surface.

The second is a bug indeed. As the heights are slightly different, the lower one is drawn before the upper one, including the trace. That causes the first one to be hidden. I should re-evaluate the drawing logic to see if it can be fixed without causing major performance problems or causing other weird things to happen!
