Loop in V5.14

I installed 5.14. When I open files (all of them) created in 5.13 it goes into a loop. 5.12 files and new files open/save correctly. Is there a SAFE mode or tool I can use to diagnose the problem? Can I get a copy of 5.13 to install and try the files? If it was just one file I would write it off as somehow corrupted, but every file I have created since Jan fails.

Does it happen when you attempt to open a file from within AR, or from a folder?

I recently (twice) had something happen when trying to open a layout directly from a folder, where it appeared AR started (the splash screen came up) then nothing further.  Yet each time AR appeared to hang I forced AR to stop then re-tried to open the file and everything worked.  I could not reproduce either occurrence, so I didn't know if it was AR or Windows with too many processes/programs running.  Very annoying, because I had AR opened to a work-in-progress layout and I wanted to open a new copy using an existing layout to copy-and-paste from, and I had to kill AR (and Windows killed all instances) to get things fixed.

It loops regardless of how I try to open the files -through AR or the folder. The strange this is that it is only the 5.13 files that have the problem.

I followed a suggestion for a different problem and downloaded all of the object libraries etc... the problem is solved!
