Make track appearance an attrribute of each layer

I would find it very useful to be able to make track display differently on each layer. In other words, make the way track is displayed an attribute of each layer. Among other things, I would find this useful for representing roads with flex track using the trace option with the track displayed as a center line. The center line would then be either your left/right separation striping, or the magnetic strip of your car system. It would also be useful for making roadbed wider on some track, i.e. mainline, or narrower on sidings, or even non-existant on spurs.

Just a thought, but it seems to me to be an easy way to make AR a lot more flexible with minimal programming. Hopefully.
