Hi.  Could i please request finetrax code 40 n track be added.

this is a fairly new product and it would be great to include it as it's being developed.

Sure, we need the exact measurements of the elements though. Their templates seem to lack that information.

Hi David,

It's Wayne here from British Finescale (finetrax).

Would you still be interested in creating a finetrax track library for AnyRail?

Wayne contacted me, and the track will be added soon.

Great news!

Thanks extended to you both.

I have a wee question though.  Do the Back to backs have to be changed to 7.4mms or is it just a good idea, and secondly as I am new to N gauge, what is the best way go go about it in a way that does not bugger up the quartering, squareness of wheels and etceteras?

I measured my N stock that is a few Peco wagons, modern Graham Farish Duchess, Dapol A3 and a few Dapol teak coaches...all of them seem to be about 7-7.1mm Back to Back which confuses me as reading online it sems the standard is more like 7.5 or 7.6mms back to back.

Please help.

I want to use FiNetrax but dont want to risk buggering everything up.  Unsure what to do here.

I'm unsure if it is a route I should be taking as I am scared of ruining the running of loco's due to my inexperience.  I have changed back to backs with 00 and P4 loco's using a GW Models wheel press and quartering jig but these are fkr 4mm scale and even then I struggle with squareness and getting things non wobbly.

i brought a Graham Farish Duchess for just under £130 and it runs well.  I am very scared of wrecking it.

On a plus note, my order for the plain line flexi track with the jig arrived.  Really happy with how it all goes together and looks. Will be using plain line if nothing else.

Pic added is the small N layout plan as I have never done N.  Uses Peco track as usyal but will be using some FiNetraX on the plain flexible.

Plan to do an even smaller 4' x 1' N layout as a tester if using FiNetrax points.  These builds can then help evaluate future considerations for the big layouts.

Has Finetrax N Gauge been added to the Track Library yet please? I'm wondering if "C&L Finescale N" is actually Finetrax.

No, it hasn't been added yet. Wayne is collecting all the required info.

With the expansion of the Finetrax Code 40 N range would it be possible to add the new items to the Track Library ?
Specifically :-
A5 'Y Point', B8 'Y Point', '3 Way' Tandem, A5 Crossover, B6 Crossover, 1in6 Single Slip, B8 Ladder, 1in6 Double Slip.

I second Mark's request. Any chance we can have the remining Finetrax Code 40 N parts added to the library in the near future?
