Can use some help with adding surfaces

Hello I am trying to draw the third level of my layout I am trying to add the height of the deck but the only thing is it is a 8 inch shelf that starts 2 inches above my second level and runs around the whole room at a 2% grade till it reaches the third level. I know how to set track heights but I can not figure out if there is a way to change heights on surfaces. has anyone out there done this . thanks dennis

You can set the heights on a surface, but the height can't change within a surface (i.e., no ramps - which seems to be what you want to do).

The height is set by clicking on the edge of the surface and then setting the height in the Tools/Surfaces" menu bar that is visible when the surface is selected.
