hello.
is it possible to include a street library US and other countries... similar to the track libraries using the flextrack capabilities so one can include various streets into  a plan.... i would guess a single adjustable flex type icon along with various items such as.. inter sections, culdisacts, over and under passes, 2lane, 4lane, multi lane, these would include the proper type of line painted on the roads,  etc etc. and have them connect together like track sections connect together....
along this train of thought.. maybe have a editor that can create custom tracks / streets that can incorporate the end connectors so other users can create their own versions to share with the anyrail community......
thanks

David

It's currently quite easy to create roads, by using the line drawing tool. If you set the line width to a few centimeters/inches, and set the corners to 'round' or 'curved', you can do most anything. I was just thinking about some options such as adding lining to these elements.

David,

I currently use your method, but would like to see what add-ons you could develop to improve on it. Line would be a good start.

hello..
yes i currently use the line method.... my thought was to maybe have a library of streets similar to the track library. the line method takes multiple steps to create.......a pre made library (scale-able or scale specific) would make designing easier... Bosch and Noch make pre made streets - found in the scenic express catalogs - it would be nice to include  a library of those two in the slot car library in their own library....
maybe include a street designer in the program so users came custom make their streets... actually it be nice if we could make the tracks....... but one thing at a time...
speaking of which.... i would be willing to create a library of streets if there was an editor program available that creates them like the different track libraries....... just a thought

I haven't tried this since the introduction of broken lines,  but if I want to put a centre line on a road, I simply draw two lines between the same points, one wide enough for the road, and one at 2mm coloured white, to be the line.
