Printing with Trace turned on

All testing of track radius, location of structures, etc. has now been completed on my new layout.  Each time I had to make changes, I re-printed the necessary pages of the layout and verified things would work (some were done several times before getting everything to work!).

I have now started to do the final print of my layout.  Since I will be using the Woodland Scenics lightweight foam riser system, and the foam risers are 2.1/2" wide, I turned the trace feature on and set it to 2.1/2" before printing the final run.  The goal was to be able to align the outside edges of the foam risers perfectly with the edges of the trace lines.

This part worked perfectly.  Where I found I was having problems was due to the trace lines printing in a very dark grey, almost black, I could no longer see the quarter circle alignment marks in each corner of the pages where the trace lines also happen to be printed in the corners.  This is not a problem with the trace lines turned off.

Fortunately, I had turned on the grid lines and have them set at 6", so I had additional alignment lines to work with, but many of the corner markers were not able to be seen.

If the trace lines were in a very light color, like yellow or maybe light orange, or even a very light grey, I don't think this would occur.  Or even better, allow for the color selection of the trace lines on the Show page.

I have attached a copy of the Anyrail file.  You can see the difference when you turn trace on and off.

Thanks, and again, I love the improvements to the pages feature.

Bob,

Options->Colors and set your preferred color for the trace. This should work.
