Hi David,
I have been working on a new layout table, no track used as yet. The program will suddenly freeze, I've waited for about 2 minutes and still it says "not responding". This has happened 4 time today.
I am having to close the program by clicking on the "X". I am using 3.22.0.

Hi Andy,

If I understand you well, you're only drawing a layout table with the drawing tool.
Are you using any of the round/curved corner functions?
(I'm asking that, because that's the latest addition. Don't know why it might give problems though).

Could you please send me what you have so far?

David.

Hi David,
Yes I am actually, the corner I'm wanting to use is the "rounded". I cannot delete or modify the  corner which is in the lower left. I've attached the file.

Hi Andy,

Whatever I try to do with that corner, nothing weird happens.

Could you be more specific and name a sequence of steps that causes the program to freeze?

Hi David,
I've just tried again and the program froze. Change 3 points that are on "Y" co-ord from  2800 to 2500 and then try to change corner "X" 200 "Y"2800.
If it works then I'll have to uninstall and do a fresh install.

Hello Andy,

Whatever I try, I cannot reproduce it.

What version of Windows are you on?

I'm using Windows XP SP3.

Hi Andy,

I've done the following:

Double click the point at (3000, 2800) and set the coordinate to (3000, 2500)
Double click the point at (950, 2800) and set the coordinate to (950, 2500)
Double click the point at (400, 2750) and set the coordinate to (400, 2500)

Then, I double clicked the point at (0, 3000), and set the coordinate to (200, 2800)

(is that what you meant?)

It works fine on both Vista and XP SP3.

I guess you did something slightly different, as I'm not sure which three points at Y=2800 you mean. There are only two with that Y coordinate.

Hi Andy,

Any new information on this? Did I take the right steps trying to reproduce the problem?

Hi David,
Sorry about the delay got caught up with other things. I'm using "right click" on the the point not using the "double click". I have tried the double clicking and it has not stopped the "not responding" on this file.
The points I mentioned are 3000:2800, 950:2800, 400:2750 and 200:2550. Changes these to :2500.

We have found the problem.

It is caused by putting three points on a straight line with the one in the middle defined as 'rounded'.

In some cases, the software does not handle it properly.

We'll provide an update soon.
