Under a particular circumstance (not exactly sure what it is), requesting a Smooth Slope over selected track results in those tracks being deleted. Using the attached smoothSlopeBug.any file, here's how to recreate the behavior:

  • As shown in attached image smoothSlopeBug1.gif, select the track and use the context menu to Smooth Slope.
  • Attached image smoothSlopeBug2.gif shows that some of the selected track has been deleted.

Best!

I can imagine this is confusing.

The problem is that you've set the 'Height in view', on the SHOW tab from a lower limit of 0 to an upper limit of 10.
This means that any item fully below height 0 or fully above height 10 is not displayed.
You start out with pretty hefty slopes of over 20%.

One point is at height 12, but initially the other endpoints of those track pieces are under the height of 10. So everything is displayed.
When selecting the track from that point all the way down, and 'smoothing' it, the first two track pieces end up fully above the height of 10, and are thus no longer displayed.

To fix this, set the upper limit on the SHOW tab higher.

The 'Height in view' function is meant to display a horizontal slice of your layout.
