Mouse wheel

Can we at least have an option to use the mouse wheel as a zoom? currently it is only useful to go up or down the page afaik, which imo seems a waste.
I cannot be the only one that tries to zoom in and out all the time with the wheel.

If you use the mouse wheel while you press CTRL, it will zoom. If you press SHIFT, it will scroll sideways.
You can use the right mouse button to pan.
