When trying to view my scheme in 3D I only get a black screen.
This also happens when I try this with an example-scheme that I downloaded from the forumsite.
Any suggestion what might be wrong here? (I do not quite see what more information I have to give on the problem in order to tack it).

David

What are your computer specifications? You need to be able to run DirectX11.

I am running Windows10. DirectXL is supposed to be part of it.
If I look for it with REGEDIT several entries are found.
So....??
I am not very knowledgeable about systeminformation.
Still other suggestions?
For example: how do I make sure this DirectX is running indeed.

David

Could you please try to find this file:
C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\AnyRail\Log\3D.log
The AppData folder is normally hidden.

The file is a text file that may contain further information.

I found the file, but cannot interpret it. Hopefully you c an. It is attached.

David

It might be that your video drivers are not up to date.
Could you please check that?

To do so, press the Windows key, type 'Device manager', and open it.
Look for 'Display adaptors', and click on it. Now right-click on the item with your video card, and select 'Update driver'.

I did. On evry occasion (for Beeldscherm, Audio etc) it tells me the newest driver is already installed.(It should be because I have automatically update activated)

David

What video card are you using? Name/brand/product number.

By the way, perhaps it's easier if we make this into a support ticket so we can solve this quicker, in Dutch if you prefer.

It also happened for me, but it took some time (more than 10 seconds) to upload for 3D. But it finally came.

This is what Apparaatbeheer says:
Intel(R) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family (Micosoft Corporation  - WDDM 1.0)
By the way, I tried to be patient like Keesoldscool suggests, but that does not work for me.
The suggestion to use a support-ticket is OK, but I am not quite aware of what to do here.
I noticed by the way also another phenomenon.
When starting 3D I get this black screen.
Returning to 2D and then to 3D again (without rfestarting AnyRail) gives me a white screen with my filenames on it (Kind of Windows Explorer). But it stays stuck.

Labordus

Might screenresolution be an issue here? My screen is set at 1920x1200. I already tried several other resulations, ,but maybe not the right one?

David

From what I can find, your video card does not have the required capabilities. It's made in 2007, and lacks a few functions that are needed to produce the 3D image.
The screen resolution is not relevant for the 3D image.

OK. Thans for helping me out. That means an other videocard as I understand it well.

David

Yes, I'm afraid so.

I found the following:
Your card only supports shader model 2.
The 3D viewer requires at least shader model 3, which was released in 2004.
I think your card was one of the last ones still using shader model 2 in 2007.
