What does "Snap to Grid" do? I have it set but nothing actually snaps to the grid lines.

It functions best when moving lines and shapes already on the layout.

Try this:  put a simple line on your layout, then set Snap to Grid to some high amount, for example, if you use inches, set it to 1.  Then use the mouse to move the line you just drew by a small amount (1/4 of an inch or so), and release the mouse - the line 'jumps' so (one of) its endpoints goes to the nearest coordinate that is a multiple of (1,1).  Now you can play around and see how you'd like to use the function.

Also the "Ruler" will snap on the grid.

Tom,

Thanks, I have only worked with track so far.
Does the snap work with track?

Cesar,

No.  Only for things that can be in a group (other than text).  Tracks (currently) cannot.
