Height adjustable control points for surfaces

I've been working with anyrail exclusively for the last 6 years or so. While I really enjoy it, the 1 major thing I would really love to see is hight adjustable control points on surfaces.

With this ability we could show hillside slopes, roofs and so on.

Another thing that would be really cool is to have the ability to use color gradients on the surfaces to give us that more professional look to our designs.

I see what you mean, but converting a surface with varying height points to a 3D plane is not always obvious. This would only work with triangles.

I have attached an image of two squares with the same height points, but with different 3D interpretations. The one on the left is more like a valley, while the one on the right is a ridge.
