Hello, I am from Norway and new to AnyRail.  I am planning my new garden railway with 7 1/4" gauge.

Yes, it is winterproof and you can use a snowplow if needed.

I have worked on several 7 1/2" railroads in my area.  One was dual gauge with 4 3/4" along with the 7 1/2".
All are a lot of work.  I built and refurbished several cars and engines, constructed bridges, and laid many scales miles of track.  Definitely good outdoor exercise. 

I have used AnyRail to  design the grand scale as well.  I think I used N scale and then did the math to get to 1/8th scale.
