Connecting track in AnyRail 5

Just getting back into AnyRail after a while away (which is why I'm still AnyRail 5!)

I'm struggling to reliably join track pieces together. The online help says if you drag a piece close to the end of another it will change colour when it's time to release the mouse. Mine doesn't appear to do that

So what's the trick of knowing when your pieces are "close enough" to join??

Thanks

Make sure that on the Settings tab, Autoconnect is ticked. If it is, set the tolerances on that tab a bit higher so the track will snap more easily.
