:) Congratulations, I find this a most effective design tool. Having been advised that the z Marklin library was now available, I bought. It has already solved one track geometry problem I was having with z gauge track. Given that I am doing a free design, not booklet led layout, this has already paid for itself. Good point in following up to me with email advice.

A couple of ideas:
The Marklin library does not include some now deleted items, ie 110mm isolating section, 110mm uncoupler. Is there a likelihood 'old' track could be incorporated? Many of us will have such items, or buying from eg eBay.

I may have missed how to correct this, but when clicking a new track piece, it often appears at an inconvenient place, ie on top or hidden within existing track. Any work arounds? Or ability to 'force' a new item to open space or centre?

I would second Clivos' comments on selected New Track getting lost among the placed track, if you have dragged a library away from the top they can become completely hidden behind it.
Centre of the window would perhaps be ideal if you are working at a large scale, or perhaps a designated point somewhere in the window.

Well, currently the track is placed in the quadrant where you've been busy, so in principle it's never a long way to drag it into position. But sure, it's sometimes inconvenient. We'll take a look at it!

Then, about the old parts for Marklin Z. Would it be possible for you to assemble a list of part numbers?
In principle, we always use the latest number for a certain part (if there have been renumberings).

For the rest, I see no real issues including parts that are no longer available in the stores. Maybe it would be nice to indicate that in some way.

Hi David,

Thanks for your response. Chris in his z scale posting, Geometry problen in Z scale, has indicated the part nos. for Marklin z track, no longer in their catalogue.

In the latest version of AnyRail, we've added most of the track pieces you wanted.

I've just had this problem; I clicked on the turntable and it landed right in the middle of my station and I could not make out how to move it. (Since sorted.) My old track planning program used a different technique. Instead of single left clicking on the icon to get a piece of track, one clicked and dragged it into position. This was very simple and involved two less mouse operations (click and move to new item).

With best wishes,
Chris.
