Hello,
I've recently joined a model railway club and offered to produce a plan of the plan of the proposed layout in AnyRail to ensure it works and identify the track items needed. One of the members is a draftsman, I've scanned his scale layout as a jpg and would like to use this as the staring point.
Is it possible to copy this jpg into AnyRail at the start of layout planning?
Thanks for any help,
Ian

Sure, you can load an image onto a surface, and then put it in the background to trace.

Steps:
1. Add a surface to your plan, for instance using 'Add rectangle' from the INSERT tab.
2. Select the rectangle by clicking on its outline, and click 'Load image...'.
3. Select your image.
4. On the SURFACES tab, under Image, set the Width (and/or Height) of the image, and use 'Adjust outline' to scale the surface to fit the rectangle.
5. Tick 'Background' on the SURFACES tab.

I hope this helps!
