Hey all,

I'm new here, but have been looking for a while for a track plan for a 4x8 Kato N scale layout. I know it's an eye roll to use 4x8 but it's honestly all I have room for and it's been hard to find a decent plan that uses this dimension. I thought I'd share this one I came up with in case it helps anyone else get started. Some of the choices of track are due to what I have on hand, as I want to make use of as much of that as I can.  Am using Mianne's 4x8 kit for the benchwork, which was a breeze to put together. Would love any comments/feedback, but mostly just hope it helps somebody else with a place to start!

Nice start. What industries do you have planned? Keep in mind that if you run passenger trains you need to keep clearances in mind on the double track curves.

Thanks, not sure on what industries yet, but for sure something. Good point on the clearances for passenger trains. Have built this and working on wiring now.

This looks like a lot of fun.  I am also building a Kato N scale layout on Mianne's benchwork and having a lot of fun.  My space limitations keep me to a 70"x40" layout. Can you post your progress?
