The last line of the List of Materials has an output for Connections with a raw number. Is it possible to break that down further, e.g. number of metal vs number of plastic fishplates, and subtract from those for track or track packs that include a quantity of either type?

To break that down further, we would have to further detail the type of isolators.

The number now is mainly there so you have an idea how many fishplates you need in case you use a track system that requires to buy these separately. Most don't need it at all.
