Imported Into PanelPro...Now What

Can someone point me to a tutorial or directions on what to do next? I seem to have successfully imported the .xml file of my layout from Anyrail into PanelPro. I connected JMRI to my layout from this laptop, with ECoS selected and the IP address entered. So now I can see it in PanelPro in layout view or edit view (very busy). JMRI also imported all of my locomotives, apparently successfully (I specified NMRA generic at this point for all the decoders when prompted by JMRI).

So now what? Can I use JMRI to operate throttles and throw turnouts? Can I view JMRI on my iPad with a VNC client, like I do with the ECoS screen?

I'm looking for a bit of direction, perhaps direction to resources from someone who has BTDT. Thanks.

I have officially ( :-[ ) given up on JMRI after at least a dozen failed attempts to figure it out. Kudos to those who have mastered JMRI, or at least made it work for them in some fashion. I think I will just stick with my ECoS and 5-panel track diagram on my iPad.

JMRI is complex indeed. I've never really tried it myself, I'm sorry.

The JMRI forum has an article/post by M. Steve Todd on exporting Anyrail, entitled "AnyRail Export to JMRI." I have not tried it yet, as I am only just now laying track according to my Anyrail plans. It looks helpful.  I am sorry but I do not have the link.
