Heights changed, some Height Contours overlay everything, hanging on startup

Hi, I loaded v7.0.16 yesterday and had some issues...
a) The heights of some lines and surfaces have been changed significantly; only obvious when switching to 3D view.
b) Surfaces that were originally ticked as contours in v6 are now fixed as "Height Contours" - no going back! Some also overlay everything; changing their height makes no difference. I have recreated all of the original surfaces and ditched the Height Contours.
c) today, the first time I ran AnyRail it hung on startup and I had to reboot. Now OK.
On the plus side, v7 loads quickly, thanks.
Cheers, Rob

David

Surfaces marked as 'Height contour' in V6 are automatically converted to Height contours in V7, and act accordingly.
So these are used in the 3D view to shape the terrain.

The same goes for table tops.

I understand this may be a bit tricky at first.

David, thanks for your comment.
So why do I have a "Height contour" with height 701 sitting over and obscuring track of height 1069 ?
Regards,
Rob

All height contours are currently displayed over everything else.
The reason is that you can have overlapping height contours to create valleys or rivers in a hilly landscape.
It may be a good idea to make the height contours almost or fully transparent.

Thanks for the software updates.
No "missing argument" at startup and it doesn't wait for my networked printer (which is usually switched off). Great!
Also, I can now convert height contours back to their original surfaces! :-)
Thanks! It is a joy to use!

P.S. IMHO Contours are best under everything except the landscape they relate to.
