Hi all!

Version 7 brings a new function that may be of use to those who'd like to laser cut their baseboard.
The export to DXF produces a 2D file that describes the cut lines along the trace.

Updates:
- Ferrorama: various new track elements: road crossing, command rail, uncoupler
- Fleischmann Profi: uncouplers 6112, 6113, turntables 6052, 6154
- Fleischmann Signals: distant signal 6201
- H0 Kato Unitrack: Crossover set HV4
- H0 Märklin C: Turntable 74862

Other minor fixes and improvements:
- TrainPlayer export now contains attribute for hidden track
- Crash fixed in 3D viewer after importing very old plan files
- Better finding of nearest endpoint to connect to when dragging track and points are very close

P.S. As AnyRail 7 does not run on Windows 7 or 8.1, we prevented the installation on these old versions of Windows. Microsoft ended support for these old versions years ago (in January 2015 and January 2023). Trying to support these platforms would hold us back too much.

If you're still on Windows 10, make sure to update to 22H2.

7.4.1 Fixes a problem with the JMRI export

Hi,
I've installed the latest version but now get an error when I try to run it. It was working before, and V6 still works ok. I reinstalled it without any problems.
The laptop is running W10.
Can you help please?

You will have to update to Windows 10, version 22H2.

Does the dxf export, only export Baseboard objects?  I was trying to export all my track so I could open that in AutoCad.  But all the dxf files appear to be blank as far as AutoCAD sees it.

It exports the track centerline when the width is set to 0.
Otherwise, it widens the centerline to the given width.

If you tick the 'Combine' checkbox, the union of the traces will be determined and exported.
If you tick the 'Layers' checkbox, the export will be done per layer.

The purpose is to laser cut your baseboard.

I just upgrade from version 6 to 7.4. All the measurements are in "cm". How do Iget the measurements in inches?

I cannot open a .any file version 6.58.2 submitted by another user. It is in the track plans folder under "Diving Into This".

Never mind... somehow when Windows update finished it corrupted my install of 7.4. Running the repair utility fixed this. Thanks Microsoft.

I have version AR 6.55.0.0 and would like to know what the latest version of AR 7.? can I still get for free.
I was not aware that there would be costs involved in updating to newer versions. I was under the impression that I paid for AnyRail life time usage.
Please let me know the latest version I can still get.

@Fuzzy, I've checked your license details and it seems you originally purchased for version 6. A license always includes one major upgrade. So version 7 is a free upgrade for you (including its updates).
After a major new version is first released, we provide updates for at least one year, but usually much longer.

You can continue to use version version 7 for as long as you like, even when we release version 8 in the future.
In case you want to upgrade to version 8 by then, you can get an upgrade license at a reduced price.

So yes, you paid for life time usage (and support if needed), but not for life time upgrades.

I am glad that I can upgrade to V.7 and I will too.

Question: Can I have Version 6 installed and working on my computer at the same time with Version 7?

Also: I have a problem with my 3D view, it won't show all of my landscaping on it, some is missing and I can't seem to figure it out. As you can see that the 2D View shows the grey but does not show ALL the green landscaping in 3D view. What do I do about this? I'm using AnyRail 6.55.0.0.
Sorry if this is a double, I answered with email and not sure you get and see the jpgs so I thought I would try it here.

Yes, you can have these at the same time, but version 7 files cannot be opened with version 6, so I recommend uninstalling version 6.

Landscape is only generated where there is a tabletop. So that's the green area you can see in the 3D view.
You will have to extend this tabletop or add more tabletops in the 2D view.
