Good evening,

After recent update, I now have a very pretty, but useless progress bar showing during programme loading. Is this removable, or perhaps hidden? If so, please explain how.

Many thanks.

I'm not sure what you mean. As far as I know, AnyRail does not show a progress bar while starting.
Could you please make a screenshot of what happens?

Good evening David,

Thank you for your response. I now attach a short video, which, I believe, demonstrates the problem. Thank you for your attention.

It looks like this has to do with the Windows file associations where Windows does not open the AnyRail application but its installer instead.

If you click the AnyRail icon itself (so not a plan file, but the shortcut to AnyRail7.exe) does this happen as well?

Hello again David,

Thanks for your reply. When I open the application via the .exe file, it opens correctly. If I then enter just one element, then "save as", the problem returns on re-opening. I hope thiss helps.

Kind Regards,
Steve

Well, that indicates it is a Windows issue.

I think you have to reset the Windows association.
Right-click the plan file, and select 'Open with'. Now, find AnyRail7, select it, and click 'Always'.
That should be it.

Good evening David

SUCCESS! I followed your instructions, which failed. However, you were right to suggest that Windows was using the installer and not the programme. I deleted the installer from my download folder which prevented the programme opening at all. A clean reinstall and immediate deletion of the installer put things right. Thank you for all your help.
